FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Zurich YourLife is an online life insurance policy that pays out a lump sum amount if you die during the policy term.
All policy types will provide:
Life cover – Life cover is available from $50,000 up to $80,000 and pays out as a result of death by any cause, subject to our standard policy exclusions.
Optional benefits
Accidental death benefit – we will pay an additional amount equal to 50% of the Life cover amount, if you die as a result of an accident.
Aeroplane Cover – we will pay an additional amount equal to 50% of the Life cover amount, if you die in an aircraft accident, where you are a fare paying passenger on a registered commercial airline.
Go to the YourLife Homepage and follow the on screen instructions. We won’t ask you to take a medical, but will ask you to answer a short medical/lifestyle questionnaire. Answer all questions truthfully and accurately, as not doing so may result in us not paying a claim.
You can pay premiums on a monthly or yearly basis, by credit card.
If you don’t pay your premium within 30 days from the date it was due, your policy will end and no premiums will be refunded.
Once you submit your application online, you are instantly covered by YourLife’s Temporary Accidental Death benefit. You will see a confirmation message at the top of the page "Your cover starts now!". You will also receive an email confirmation of your application with the YourLife Temporary Accidental Death benefit conditions attached.
YourLife policy cover will start once we have reviewed your online application and charged your credit card. After your first premium payment has been deducted, we will email your policy schedule and conditions to you.
You can choose cover for 5, 10 of 15 years, however the life cover will expire at age 65.
So between the age of 18 years and 50 years you can apply for a life cover term of 15 years. If you are 60 years old you can apply for a maximum term of 5 years.
Your policy schedule will be emailed to you once your first payment has been collected from your credit card.
Yes, you can access your policy online using Zurich International Online (ZIO). Your username and instructions on how to access ZIO will be sent to you via email once your policy schedule has been issued
Yes, you can update your contact details using your Zurich International Online account. For any other updates, you can contact us on the details below.
You can update your beneficiaries by completing the Appointment of beneficiary form.
You can reset your password using the ‘forgotten password’ link on Zurich International Online . If you have forgotten both your password and memorable number you will need to contact us on the details below. We will ask for information to verify your identity before we are able to reset your password or provide you with any information regarding your account.
